The Woods in Three Words: Connect. Create. Inspire.

Connect 

We all desire to connect with something larger than ourselves, to feel connected with the Sacred. At The Woods we respect and support the individual interpretation of this word and believe connecting with nature and the arts are two pathways to connect with this experience. 

We all need to feel connected within ourselves: a greater awareness of mind-body connection. Many also experience disconnect within their own mind, where internal conflict results in feeling stuck.  

We all need to feel connected with others, and to feel a sense of belonging. Connecting with nature can provide a sense of belonging to our environment, while connecting with community is essential for wellbeing. 

Create

From our earliest years we are creators, and at The Woods, we nurture this innate human capacity. To create, requires attention and engagement in practices that will bring to fruition what was once only the possibility of something new. We support this process artistically, with the belief that these same principals can be applied to creating the life you want. 

Inspire

To breathe is to inspire. We want to support people in finding greater breathing room. To inspire wonder through nature, and possibility through art making and movement. The Woods exists to inspire hope.  

The Woods Arts and Wellness offers various therapies, including Art, Music, Nature-based, Integrative Somatic, Acceptance and Commitment, CBT, Positive Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Trauma-informed Expressive Arts, Developmental Somatic, Movement and Body-based, and Craniosacral Therapy.
