Each year we offer a practicum experience to students completing their training to be certified as therapists. This is an opportunity to work at The Woods two days a week, working both 1:1 with clients and with groups. Supervision is provided on site, and training in nature-based therapy will also be provided to the successful candidate. We work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, and our income-based counseling program draws individuals needing support from more vulnerable populations.  

We receive many applications for these practicum positions, please be sure you meet the position's requirements before applying. To qualify for this position, you will need to be completing a Master's program in art therapy and counselling or have completed your training in counselling and are in the process of completing your art therapy certification. As we are a practice that focuses on offering arts, body, and nature-based approaches, we won’t consider applications from individuals completing their training to be an RCC alone, unless they also have completed training and certification in one of the arts based therapeutic approaches.
