Q&A with Marcia

We took a moment to connect with our wonderful team at The Woods Arts & Wellness by asking them a few questions about themselves and their passions. Here’s what Marcia graciously shared with us…

A PIECE OF ART THAT HAS MOVED YOU…

I love wildlife photography, especially of the Canadian Rockies. There's a particular image I love titled 'Encouragement,' by Brandon T. Brown, a wildlife photographer based in Canmore, Alberta

A PLACE IN NATURE THAT EVOKES AWE FOR YOU…

This is an easy one. I love big sky country - I find myself awestruck by the beauty of the prairies.

A PERSONAL PET PEEVE…

Food left on dishes and placed in a sink - ack!

SOMETHING YOU FIND CHALLENGING…

Keeping up with the immediacy of communication - sometimes I just want to turn it all off.

A FAVOURITE FOOD ITEM…

I love simple fresh food. Simple does not mean bland mind you. Fresh tomatoes and basil with a drizzle of balsamic and olive oil - heaven!

MORNING PERSON OR NIGHT OWL?

Night Owl

SOMETHING YOU WANT TO LEARN…

I want to learn how to dance

PREFERRED ARTISTIC MODALITY OR MEDIUM…

Textiles. I love to hold, feel and weave things. I also love a solid black felt tipped pen.

WHAT ARE YOU READING?

I am currently reading two books - "Hagitude" by Sharon Blackie and "Essentialism" by Greg Mckewn

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

Dustin Tebbutt

WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST GRATEFUL FOR RIGHT NOW?

I am so grateful to live on the North Shore surrounded by so much natural forest.

THREE THINGS YOU WOULD WANT WITH YOU ON A DESERTED ISLAND…

Music, potatoes and my own dragon

A LIFE MOTTO OR MANTRA…

In the end everything will be ok, if it's not ok, it's not the end.

HOW WOULD YOUR BEST FRIEND DESCRIBE YOU?

I just texted her and she responded with - Wise, intuitive, beautiful and funny.

IF YOU WERE A TREE, WHAT TYPE OF TREE MIGHT YOU BE?

If I could choose I would choose to be a cedar tree.
